Our Favorite NASCAR Movies for Summer

It’s summer and you’re likely heading all over the Southeast attending race after race in the Sprint Cup series but if you can’t this year, here are a few of our picks for the best NASCAR movies of all time. If you’ve got direct, you can catch many of these on loop this time of year…
Taladega Nights – The obvious frontrunner, the Will Ferrell classic has stood the test of time for the last few years and is likely to continue. It’s a riot and is almost what we would consider to be family friendly.
Cars – Who doesn’t love a good Pixar film? Cars is surprisingly well written and entertaining even for the most discriminating fan. This one truly is one you can watch with the kids…
Days of Thunder – The movie set where Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman met? It’s a love story wrapped in a NASCAR story but we’ll take it. It’s hot and heavy and has some great race scenes.
Greased Lightning – Richard Pryor stars in a film about the first black NASCAR driver and does an excellent job at that. Historical and moving, a must see.
